The weather isn’t great in Liverpool at the moment, but if you’ve got a spring wedding planned don’t fear! The spring is a great time to book your honeymoon. This middle season allows you the flexibility of a winter or summer themed holiday in much more temperate conditions. Excluding the Easter weekend it is also usually cheaper than later in the year.
Southern Europe is best if you’re looking for somewhere warm. In France, Nice, the cote d’Azur and Monaco are all popular retreats. Italy boasts great cultural centres such as Rome, Pompei and Sicily. For Spain, the Island city of Cadiz is one of the country’s best kept secrets and is perfect for a honeymoon retreat. Other good options include Marrakesh in Morocco, and Istanbul in Turkey.
If you fancy a more active holiday, a winter sports honeymoon might be a good option. Ski resorts are still open in France, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria up to and around the Easter period. St Anton in Austria and Val Gardena in Italy are meant to be especially good at this time of year.
